How we make money
Right now: we do not
As of August 5, 2026 this site has no affiliate relationships, no sponsors, and no ads. Nothing on it earns us anything. The notice at the top of every page says so, and it will change the day that stops being true.
The plan
Some vendors pay a commission when a reader signs up through a tracked link. We intend to join a few of those programs. When we do:
- Every commissioned link will be marked where it appears.
- This page will list which programs we are in, and from what date.
- The banner at the top of the site will be updated.
What a commission will not buy
- A better position in our price table. It is ordered by what we track, not by what pays.
- Deletion of a complaint or a price increase.
- A recommendation. If we ever recommend a product, we will say what the recommendation rests on and what we did not check.
No ads
We do not run display advertising and do not intend to. Ad networks reward volume, and volume is the opposite of what a price record needs.
